Web & Graphic Design SAMIC is a store located in Montevideo, Uruguay, that sells wooden floors & designer furniture. I worked at SAMIC as a full-time graphic/web designer from 2015 to 2021.
As a designer, I recommended and then created an e-commerce platform for the company, improving the customer shopping experience.
I also designed graphic pieces for every marketing campaign, including the website, social networks, and email marketing.

PROBLEM

SAMIC has a rich history as a lumberyard, but it later expanded into selling wooden floors and designer furniture. However, they faced difficulties in reaching their target audience because their physical store was located far from it.

SOLUTION

The solution was to create a responsive, aesthetic, and easy-to-use e-commerce platform.
Additionally, we focused on building strong marketing campaigns on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, and Google.

WEB DESIGN

SAMIC previously had a static website, but after conducting research and interviews with clients and employees, I found that having an e-commerce platform was crucial for the company.
I created wireframes and user flows to ideate the solution.
Additionally, I conducted benchmarking and a competitor audit to understand how other companies in the industry handled online sales.

RESULTS

I designed a responsive e-commerce website on WordPress, featuring sales sections, different product categories, a wishlist, contact forms, individual product pages, discounts, bonus offers, and a streamlined checkout process.

INSTAGRAM

Together with the creative director, we worked extensively on social media, especially on Instagram, optimizing both the feed and stories.
These efforts helped increase brand recognition..
