Web & Graphic Design SAMIC is a store located in Montevideo, Uruguay that sales wooden floors & designer furniture. I began to work in SAMIC as a designer on 2015 to 2021 as a full-time graphic/web designer. As a designer I recommend and then created an e-commerce for the company, and thus improve the customer shopping experience.

PROBLEM

SAMIC has a great history as a lumberyard, but they started to sell some wooden floors and designer furniture. But they find some difficulties to reach the target audience, because it´s fisical store it´s located far away from it.

SOLUTION

The solution was to create a responsive, esthetic and easy-to-use e-commerce.
Taking in consideration to create strong marketing campains on social networks, Facebook, Instagram and Google.

WEB DESIGN

SAMIC has a previous static web, but after some research ans interviews with clients & employees I found that it’s was really important to the company to have an e-commerce.
I made, some wireframes and flows to ideate the solution.
Also I made a benchmarking and competitor audit to know how the competitors in the field solved the online sales.

RESULTS

I’ve designed a responsive e-commerce in WordPress, with some areas of SALES, diferents categories, wishlist, contact, single products, discounts, bonus discounts, and checkout.

INSTAGRAM

With the creative director, we made a great work on social networks, specially on Instagram, feed and stories.
These actions helped the brand to be more recognized.
